header element - <header>

The <header> element is new in HTML5. As its name implies, it is used to define the header of a document or a section. It can contain heading (<h1>..<h6> and <hgroup>) elements for introduction information, navigational links or table of content. The diagram below shows where the <header> element is typically used.


The following example below defines the header for a HTML document. It is ok to have more than one headers, especially in the case where you have more than one sections in a document.
	   <h1>This is a header</h1>
The example below shows the use of header in a <section> element.

	   <h1>This is a section header</h1>
The following is an example of a navigation bar in the <header> element.

	   <li><a href="">Home</a></li>
	   <li><a href="">Products</a></li>
	   <li><a href="">Contact Us</a></li>
	   <li><a href="">About Us</a></li>
