footer element - <footer>

The <footer> element is new in HTML5. As its name implies, it is used to define the footer of a document or a section. The element usually contains the author information, related links to documents and copyright information. The diagram below shows where the <footer> element is typically used.


The following example below defines the footer for a HTML document. It is ok to have more than one footers, especially in the case where you more than one sections in a document.
	   <h1>This is a footer</h1>
The example below shows the use of footer in a <section> element.

	   <h1>This is a section footer</h1>
